Class Registration

February 2019

We are excited to let you know that class registration for the 2019-20 school year is just around the corner.

The Intent to Return process for Western Sierra students will begin on February 1, 2019. Log into your SchoolMint account to indicate whether or not your student will be returning to Western Sierra next year.

The next step is to register for classes! See the table below for course selection dates.
Core subject courses take precedence over elective courses. Electives are offered to enhance our program based on interest, staffing and resource allocation. Please be aware that changes may occur due to curriculum resources and staffing availability.
Some courses have prerequisites and/or recommendations also indicated in the review. Where there is choice, please make your selection based on the prerequisite.  Also be aware, that although we offer multiple AP courses in the upper grades, consider a balanced workload.
To be prepared, follow the registration steps below:
  1. Students in grades 9-11; Review your transcript.
  2. Students in grades 8-11; Review the Graduation Requirements and Four Year Plan.
  3. Print your name at the top, make your course selections and add parent and student signatures. Please keep a copy for your records.
  4. The counseling office will visit your English class. Please have the Registration Form ready to get priority consideration.
  5. If your student is not returning to WSCA, indicate on the Registration Form and complete a Student Withdrawal.
