I am very excited to be a part of the family and culture here at Western Sierra Collegiate Academy for another AMAZING year.

I obtained my K-8 Multiple Subject and K-12 Special Education undergraduate dual degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. I have a total of 14 years teaching experience, 8 years in K-12 in Roseville/Rocklin, and NYC; 6 years combined at the undergraduate and graduate level at NYU and Columbia University. During my time at the high school level, I mainly taught mathematics including Integrated Math, Algebra I &II, and Geometry for students with disabilities.

I left the area to pursue an Education Policy graduate degree at New York University in 2006. During my time at NYU, I worked for the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education, supporting struggling high school youth with academics as well as supporting them in their transition to college. Beyond that, and most recently, I worked at Columbia University’s graduate school, Teachers College, preparing teachers in the areas of special education and teaching English to second language learners.
