Western Sierra Collegiate Academy is a charter school unique for its engaging and rigorous academic curriculum. Middle school curriculum provides a solid foundation for success and prepares students for the college preparatory coursework for grades 9-12. High school students are required to meet or exceed the University of California course entrance requirements. For example, it is the expectation that all students will take specific Advanced Placement (AP) coursework beginning in 10th grade and continuing on through their senior year. Western Sierra supports students in their rigorous course requirements and high academic expectations with academic supports that have been built into Western Sierra’s learning model, such as our mastery learning philosophy and extended learning time.
Western Sierra School Counselors are trained to assist students with academic planning, support, and post-high school preparation. The counseling department has placed resources on the website for easy access. Students should see their counselor for additional assistance.
