Pre-Calculus (Period 2)
Course Description
Pre-calculus is an in depth study of all the topics required to move on to a college level or AP Calculus course. The course is rigorous and designed to give depth as well as breadth of knowledge. The primary areas of focus for pre-calculus are trigonometry, mathematical analysis, and linear algebra. The course, however, is not limited to those areas. Some portions of this course will be review of topics covered in Algebra II, however, in almost all of those instances the topic will be covered in more depth or broader scope to help prepare for a calculus class.
Student in Pre-Calculus MUST have access to a scientific calculator. Since Pre-Calculus is preparatory for calculus a graphing calculator will be very useful and is highly recommended. Our current recommendation for calculus is a TI 84+.Upcoming Assignments See all
