Ms. Sam's Homepage

About Me:

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and began my teaching journey in Texas. I spent two years teaching High School Biology at Mount Pleasant High School, where I discovered how rewarding it is to help students build confidence in science and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and caring for my two cats, Lavender and Maomao. I also love reading mystery novels, listening to music, and trying new things!

My Teaching Style:

My classroom is a place where students are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, and make meaningful connections to science. I use standards-aligned, data-driven, and hands-on learning experiences to help students develop both scientific knowledge and essential skills they can apply inside and outside the classroom.

I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. I believe that learning is a collaborative process, and I enjoy partnering with students and families to celebrate growth, address challenges, and support each student's individual learning journey.
