Welcome to the new WSCA school year!!

My name is Gabriela Hight and I am excited to start the new school year! 

 

A little bit of history...

After spending several years in the hospitality and horticulture industry, I decided to get my B.A. in Mathematics from CSU Sacramento.  While in my upper division classes, my professors helped me realize that teaching mathematics can be a rewarding experience and I finished my education by obtaining my teaching credential from CSUS in 2012. From that day forward, showing students why the mathematics worked was more important than just memorizing an algorithm and it has become even more evident that understanding the connections between different concepts goes a longer way towards the mastery of mathematics. 

 

I will be using Google Classroom as a portal for all assignments and Power School for grades. Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions or comments.
