Our AP test registration deadline is quickly approaching. This is a two-step process that involves all students in AP courses to register for a College Board account, and then purchase exams that they plan to take in the spring through the online school store. The deadline for registration without a late fee is November 7th. If both steps of the registration process are not completed by then late fees will be applied.
Our Business Technician, Denise Barron, helps with technical issues while ordering and helps students when applying for reduced AP fees. She can be reached at [email protected].
If your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch or your family has extenuating circumstances that make paying for exams a financial hardship, they may qualify for reduced AP fees. Please go to the WSCA online store to fill out qualifying forms. They are located in the AP Testing category under the “Reduced AP Exam Fee” or “Financial Hardship AP Exam Fee” icons. Please note that the form link is not blue. After filling out the form, our Business Technician will reach out to you with the next steps.
2-Step AP Exam Registration & Payment Process
BOTH STEPS MUST BE COMPLETED for the proper AP exams to be ordered.
Step 1: Student signs in to their College Board student account at myap.collegeboard.org then joins the appropriate AP Class by entering the teacher-provided Join Code. Once this is completed, the College Board site will show that they have “registered.” This does not mean that they have PAID. If you are unsure if you have paid for an exam, check for an email receipt from myschoolcentral. Your teachers also have been receiving payment updates. If you need additional help with this, you may contact Shelly Fox for assistance at [email protected]
Step 2: Students must pay for the exam using our Western Sierra Student Store.Go to the Western Sierra Webstore located under the Departments tab of our website. (Google Chrome is the preferred browser.)Click on “My Account” in the upper right-hand corner and register as “you” not a student. Click on the link sent to your email account from myschoolcentral. In the “My Family” tab enter your student’s school ID number. (If your student doesn’t remember the number, it can be found on their report card.) Go to “Product Categories” in the upper left-hand corner and click on “AP Testing.”Add exams to be purchased to your cart.Go to the “cart” in the upper right-hand corner and complete the payment process. Please be aware there is a 3% service fee.
